Beaches: There are beaches in all of the towns that make up Martha’s Vineyard. The Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival is now in its 7th year and often has the filmmakers on hand to discuss the picture afterwards.

Fishing: You can do some great fishing in Martha’s Vineyard. With a bit of luck you can catch bluefish, striped bass, bonito, false albacore and Spanish mackerel from right there on the beach. And if you go out on a boat, you’ll be able to catch white marlin, yellowfin tuna, bluefins and even shark. There’s even a fishing tournament, the Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby, every year from mid-Sept to mid-October that attracts about 900 islanders to join visitors. In 2009, the tournament celebrates its 64thyear.
