Sky Share
Operations
Our
staff provides all of the management necessary to provide safe
and convenient operations of the co-owned aircraft. Each owner
has use of the aircraft for the number of hours they purchase. A
one quarter share entitles each owner the right to use 150 hours
per year. Each owner can schedule the plane with guaranteed
availability with two weeks notice. Any conflicts in scheduling
will be handled by our dispatch department. Any owner can
request a flight with less than two weeks notice subject
to availability. In the event that a scheduling conflict arises
that can not be solved or a back up aircraft is not available,
this would be an extremely rare case, then the priority rotation
system will determine which owner has first priority. Commencing
with ownership each owner receives a number of one thru six. If
a conflict arises, the owner with the lowest priority number has
first right for timing of use. The number then rotates from
higher to lower. Our staff will provide you concierge services
and can arrange for you a number of additional services. i.e.
car rentals, hotel reservations, pre-trip purchasing/catering to
name a few. Our director of maintenance schedules all necessary
inspections of the aircraft in compliance with all FAA Part 135
standards

To understand why a co-ownership program works, it is
important to have a firm grasp on the fiscal side of
aircraft operations and thus understand how costs can be
driven down significantly without compromising safety
and service. So bear with me a minute through a short
course of aircraft Economics 101. There are three main
categories of expenses involved with aircraft ownership.
They are acquisition cost, fixed costs and variable
costs. Let’s examine each area and see how co-ownership
reduces the overall cost of operations. |
Acquisition Cost
We
shop the market on a regular basis to find the very best
aircraft in their category for the best price. We then place the
aircraft through a rigorous pre purchase /conformity inspection
prior to purchase. This ensures that we start with a good
aircraft. We procure the best financing available and place the
plane into service. By chartering the plane while we market the
co-ownership shares we are able to allow the aircraft to pay for
itself during the marketing period. The cost of the pre purchase
inspections as well as any upgrades to the aircraft are included
in the purchase price. By co-owning the aircraft each owner’s
acquisition cost is reduced. The down payment is less as well as
the amount financed, thus allowing each owner to have the
aircraft that best fits their needs for a fraction of the cost.
