As we wind down your excursion through the uncharted Bahamian waters aboard your Boatbookings.com yacht, we hope you’re starting to truly relax into island life. After four full days on vacation, we’re hitting Day 5 and the final stretch of your Boatbookings.com excursion. Let’s pick up where we left off…
Day 5: After an eventful day at West Plana Cay, we sail over to East Plana Cay, where we become acquainted with Plana Cays drift diving. The currents are predictable yet different, depending on your location around the island. The northwest side is tidal, while the pass is your drift dive spot. Feel like your flying as the currents scurry you along, and enjoy high quality diving that is experienced in so few spots around the world. Diving aficionados will hold a special place in their hearts after an afternoon at East Plana Cay.
Day 6: Get some quality time on dry land after so much time at sea and hike through the magical settlement nestled on Samana Cay. Once you’re ready to get your sea legs back, head down to Columbus Bay for some of the most mesmerizing snorkeling you’ve ever seen. Since Samana Cay is abandoned and the only person who calls it home is Mother Nature, it’s a fascinating undisturbed natural habitat and coral reef. As you soak in this deserted paradise, take a mental picture to last you long past the trip ends. We hate to break it to you, but it’s getting nearer by the second. Flights out of Samana Cay are an option thanks to a new floatplane service, Sunshine Air, or you can always charter services through your buddies at Sky Limo.
Day 7: For those of you who want the last midnight cruise in the Cays, you’ve been sailing overnight back to Georgetown. You can use this day to your leisure—either by playing a rousing game of golf at the Sandals Resort, or relax in the spa either onboard your ship or at the resort. Want a few more hours of Bahamian clear blue waters and colorful sea life? Enjoy shallow water snorkeling off Georgetown’s coastline. Diving groups can also take one last go ‘round before bidding farewell to the Bahamas via Boatbookings.com.
We hope that you’ve enjoyed your trip in the Plana Cays, and we hope you’ll be traveling again with Sky Limo and BoatBookings.com soon.

Let’s recap: We’ve already had your flight to the Bahamas with Sky Limo done and you’ve gotten aboard your yacht that’s now touring you through the islands. Part 1 of this series covered Days 1 & 2 of your future Bahamas tour by sea under the guidance of the Bahamas yacht specialists, Boat Bookings. Now, we’d like to pick up where we left off, at the end of the second day at Long Island, and carry you a little over halfway through the trip with the itineraries for Days 3 & 4:
Day 3: At this point in the trip, you’ll embark for Acklins/Crooked Islands. The Acklins/Crooked Islands is an ideal destination for diving, hiking, and water sports. Fishermen will have a blast in the Acklins/Crooked Islands, where there’s something for everyone. Shallow waters are littered with bonefish, and calm waters lure out sport fishermen. Protected lagoons and calm waters make the Acklins/Crooked Islands an ideal spot to relax and soak up nature.
Day 4: Say farewell to the serene Acklins/Crooked Islands and venture onwards to West Plana Cay, which is basically a deserted island. Though the island may be small, it is loaded with pristine beaches and is void of human interaction. Camp, collect shells, or simply relax upon the sands of West Plana Cay. The deep waters that surround the Cay are also perfect for diving, so be sure to pack your gear. Swim in amazement among the untouched waters and copious amounts of sea life.
In our next and final installment, Days 5-7 of your Bahamas journey are revealed…
